- Rust and Corrosion: Frequent contact with water (especially salt water) causes structural rust on the frame and components.
- Tire Problems: Low tire pressure, uneven wear, or dry rot from sitting, leading to blowouts.
- Brake System Failure: Submersion causes corrosion in hydraulic lines and calipers, leading to sticking or failing brakes.
- Winch Failure: Worn-out, bent, or broken winches and nylon straps that cannot securely hold the boat.
