Being Tauranga’s leading boat service centre we are happy to offer parts supply for all major outboard engine brands.

If you have an Evinrude, Honda or Tohatsu outboard and are after a part/s we are happy to find out availability and order in for you.

Servicing

To avoid costly bills and unwanted time off the water we recommend a regular safety appraisal and servicing of your boat annually or at 100 hours. We offer comprehensive boat servicing, here are just a few of the things we inspect as part of our servicing at The Boat Place, fuel checks, tight steering systems, adjustment and lubrication of control cables, gasket checks, oil level checks. Diagnostics

We use a variety of diagnostic tools including a Dynamometer or “Dyno”. The Dyno allows us to measure simultaneously the torque and rotational speed of your engine, and test for other activities such as calibration of engine management controllers, and detailed investigations into combustion behaviour. This gives us a clear and concise overview of how your engine is running without the need for a sea trial.
